RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council receive and file the Biannual Written Reports of Commissions Boards and Committees (CBCs).
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
Per City Council Policy Number 3002, most recently updated in May 2021, "Periodically but no less than biannually, each CBC shall submit to City Council a written report on their respective activities."
For ease of review and standardization, the City Clerk's office has gathered and compiled the written reports into one agenda item. Biannual CBC written reports were compiled by staff and discussed by the members of each respective CBC body. CBCs approved the reports and recommended that the reports be transmitted to the City Council.
The following CBCs have submitted written reports:
* Advisory Committee on Housing and Homelessness
* Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee
* Civil Service Commission
* Cultural Affairs Commission
* Disability Advisory Committee
* Equity & Human Relations Advisory Committee
* Finance Advisory Committee
* Landlord Tenant Mediation Board
* Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission
* Planning Commission
The Fiesta La Ballona Committee was unable to submit a report in time and will provide Council with an update separately.
