RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Equity and Human Relations Advisory Committee (1) discuss the report from the Childhood Trauma and Equity Movie Screening Ad Hoc Subcommittee for the event program; (2) consider approval of the report's recommendations and determine next steps; and (3) provide direction to staff if deemed appropriate.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
During fiscal year 2021/2022, the Equity and Human Relations Advisory Committee voted to hold various public community events as part of their work plan. One of these public events includes a Childhood Trauma and Equity Movie Screening event. The Ad Hoc Subcommittee is planning to discuss event logistics during the August 23, 2022 to the entire EHRAC. The event is tentatively scheduled for September 17, 2022 from 1:00pm - 5:00pm, however, the event is still under review with staff, including the City Manager's office, and approval of the event will need to go to City Council.
