RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends the City Council 1) adopt a Resolution accepting a $645,750 grant award from the Federal Transit Administration's (FTA) Route Planning Restoration Grant Program for the Culver City comprehensive mobility service analysis, and 2) Four-Fifths-Vote Requirement: approve a budget amendment to record the revenue and appropriate the funding for this project upon receipt of the fully executed grant agreements.


BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION

On November 30, 2021, the City Manager authorized the Transportation Department to submit a grant proposal for the FTA's Route Planning Restoration Grant Program. The competitive grant program is part of the American Rescue Plan Act and is for the planning of transit service restoration in light of the major impact experienced both locally and nationally from the COVID-19 pandemic.
