RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council approve a four-year agreement with Downstream Services Inc., for operations and maintenance services of Culver Boulevard Stormwater Treatment and Retention Facility in an amount not-to-exceed $150,000 in FY 2021/2022 and an annual not-to-exceed amount of $300,000 for FY 2022/2023 through FY 2024/2025.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
On December 28, 2012, the Los Angeles County Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System Permit (MS4 Permit) became effective in accordance with the Clean Water Act. The Los Angeles MS4 Permit covers unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County, the Los Angeles County Flood Control District, and 84 cities within Los Angeles County, including the City of Culver City. The City's compliance efforts include various minimum control measures such as public outreach, construction and demolition recycling program, street sweeping, and polystyrene ban, and larger regional projects such as the Culver Boulevard Stormwater Treatment and Retention Project.
