RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council approve an amendment to the existing professional services agreement with NV5 for construction management and inspection services in an amount not-to-exceed $235,548 for the Construction of Diversion Sewer Pipes to Abandon Mesmer and Overland Sewer Pump Stations, Project No. PZ-946.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
On March 18, 2019, the City Council (1) awarded a construction contract in the amount of $11,732,055 to Ramona Inc, for the construction of Diversion Sewer Pipes to Abandon Mesmer and Overland Sewer Pump Stations, Project No. PZ-946; and 2) approved a professional services agreement in an amount not-to-exceed $419,865 (plus $42,000 contingency amount) to NV5 for construction management and inspection services.
The completion of this project will allow the sewer flow from Mesmer Station and Overland Station be diverted to the newly completed Bankfield Station. The Mesmer Station is proposed to be repurposed to a low flow diversion project.
