RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends that the Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS) Commission receive and file the report regarding City of Culver City Playgrounds from the Parks Division of the Culver City Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department.


BACKGROUND

The PRCS Director has scheduled this report to the Commission as an informational item. A slide show of the playgrounds at each park which includes additional information will be presented on the evening of the meeting by Parks Manager / City Landscape Architect Patrick Reynolds.


DISCUSSION

Priority List of Playgrounds in Need of Play Equipment Updates

The primary basis for the following priority order of play equipment updates is information collected during Playground Safety Inspections and Audits:

1. Blair Hills Park Age 2 to 12 Playground (currently funded and in the initial stages of design)
2. Tellefson Park Age 2 to 5 Playground and Age 5 to 12 Playground (currently funded)
3. Lindberg Park Age 2 to 5 Playground and Age 5 to 12 Playground
4. El Marino Park Age 2 to 5 Playground and Age 5 to 12 Playground
5. Culver West Alexander Park Age 2 to 5 Playground and Age 5 to 12 Playground
