RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) 1) receive a presentation on the Expo-to-Downtown Bicycle Connector project, 2) hear public input on the project, and 3) provide direction to staff.

BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION

TranspoGroup has been retained by the City to evaluate the feasibility of connecting the Expo Station to Downtown Culver City with a high-quality bike facility. TranspoGroup previously presented to the BPAC on September 8th, 2016 with a concept proposal. Based on feedback from the BPAC, TranspoGroup and City staff have continued to develop the concept and engage with affected stakeholders. Today’s workshop is intended to gather additional stakeholder input, gauge public support for the proposal, and further refine the project concept.
