RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Equity and Human Relations Advisory Committee (EHRAC) 1) discuss the report from the Community Contributions Ad Hoc Subcommittee about the EHRAC Awards, 2) consider recommending the designated nominees to the City Council for receipt of the awards, and 3) provide direction to staff as deemed appropriate.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
At the January 24, 2023, regular meeting, the Community Contributions Ad Hoc Subcommittee achieved consensus to agendize this item for discussion at the March 28, 2023, meeting. At the February 28, 2023, special meeting, the Community Contributions Subcommittee provided a verbal update about the EHRAC Awards.
The Community Contributions Ad Hoc Subcommittee has read and reviewed all the nominations submitted, will report on their decision-making process, and provide the names of the awardees and a short description for each. The medallions will be developed and will include the recipients’ names, award category, and the award year.
The awards will be presented to the award recipients during the May 22, 2023, City Council meeting.
FISCAL ANALYSIS
There are no costs associated with discussion of this item. There are costs to manufacture the medallions will be provided by the Subcommittee in their report.

MOTION
That the Equity and Human Relations Advisory Committee:
1. Discuss the report from the Community Contributions Ad Hoc Subcommittee about the EHRAC Awards;
2. Consider recommending the designated nominees to the City Council for receipt of the awards; and
3. Provide direction to staff as deemed appropriate.
