RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Equity and Human Relations Advisory Committee (EHRAC): 1) discuss and consider approval of the recommendations in the report from the Nonviolence Workshop Ad Hoc Subcommittee about the upcoming Nonviolence Workshop by Common Peace; 2) determine next steps; and 3) provide direction to staff as deemed appropriate.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
At the October 25, 2022 regular meeting, the EHRAC formed the Nonviolence Workshop Ad Hoc Subcommittee to plan for the upcoming public event, a nonviolence workshop facilitated by Common Peace scheduled for February 28, 2023. At the December 13, 2022 special meeting, the committee agendized this item to receive a report from the ad hoc subcommittee to discuss, plan, and consider approval of the recommendations for the event. At the January 24, 2023 regular meeting, the subcommittee will provide a report to the full EHRAC.
To note, this public event is a carry-over from the FY 2021-2022 Work Plan.
