BACKGROUND

In response to California’s drought, in 2016 the City Council adopted new residential parkway landscaping guidelines, which were primarily aimed at reducing water use through replacement of traditional water-thirsty grass with native, indigenous, and other low-to-moderate water use plant species.

The Subcommittee will receive a presentation and discuss highlights of the approved residential parkway landscaping guidelines.  In addition, the guidelines in their entirety are attached to this report.
