RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Fiesta La Ballona Committee (FLBC) receive and file the report on the Fiesta La Ballona Committee Ad Hoc Subcommittee.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
Staff has prepared this report in order to allow the Fiesta La Ballona Committee Members a chance to review each of the Ad Hoc Subcommittees. The current list of FLBC Ad Hoc Subcommittees, their members, and the description of their respective topic areas, is provided as Attachment 1. Each of the Ad Hoc Subcommittees plays a part in organizing the Fiesta La Ballona event. At the next meeting, it is recommended by staff to appoint Committee Members to the Ad Hoc Subcommittees, add Ad Hoc Subcommittees that the Committee seems fit, and eliminate any Ad Hoc Subcommittees that the Committee feels are no longer necessary.
The Role of Ad Hoc Subcommittees
An "ad hoc" subcommittee serves only a limited or single purpose. It is not perpetual, and it is dissolved when its specific task is completed. An Ad Hoc Subcommittee may be formed or dissolved at any noticed during a meeting, as long as the discussion has been placed on the agenda in advance.
