RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends that the Fiesta La Ballona Committee receive and file the report regarding the Fiesta La Ballona Committee Bylaws.

BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION

Staff has prepared this report in order to present the existing Fiesta La Ballona Committee (FLBC) Bylaws to the new FLBC Members and give all FLBC Members the opportunity to discuss them.

At the December 10, 2012 City Council meeting, the City Council approved and adopted Resolution Number 2012-R104, which created the Fiesta La Ballona Committee and established its Bylaws. The Bylaws are outlined using the following sections:
1. The Purpose of the Committee
2. The Organization
3. The Duties
4. The Officers
5. The Meetings
6. Staff Support
7. Amendment to the Bylaws

The Bylaws define the terms of office, the designation of officers, and the duties of the officers. It also establishes the following types of meetings and assigns the meetings specific times in the year:
1. Annual Meeting
2. Post-Event Meeting
3. Regular Meeting
4. Special Meetings

The next section of the Bylaws explains the specific types of support that the Committee can expect from the Parks, Recreation and Community Services staff.

FISCAL ANALYSIS
