RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the Equity and Human Relations Advisory Committee (EHRAC) 1) discuss the creation of any needed Ad Hoc Subcommittees to plan for the upcoming public events in fiscal year 22-23; 2) if desired, form an Ad Hoc Subcommittees and appoint members thereto; 3) provide direction to staff as deemed appropriate.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
At the October 11, 2022 special meeting, Chair Valverde achieved consensus to agendize this item for discussion at the regular October 25, 2022 meeting. Once Ad Hoc Subcommittees are formed, members would convene to discuss, to develop, and to plan the upcoming public events remaining in fiscal year 2022-23. The Ad Hoc Subcommittees will present reports to the full Committee at upcoming meetings.
The upcoming public events include:
- February 28, 2023 - Nonviolence Workshop by Common Peace
- March 28, 2023 - Understanding and Responding to Autism
- May 23, 2023 - Event Honoring Seniors
FISCAL ANALYSIS
There is no fiscal impact associated with discussing this item. Depending on the event, future associated costs could include insurance, printing, and staff time.
