RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Fiesta La Ballona Committee (1) receive and file the report regarding non-food vendor booth participants' attendance at Fiesta La Ballona 2022; and, (2) if desired, make a recommendation to City staff concerning the vendors that did not follow the Attendance Guidelines.
BACKGROUND
At the June 1, 2022, Fiesta La Ballona Committee (FLBC) made a motion concerning specific guidelines that organizations with non-food vendor booths needed to follow. Part of these Guidelines included that non-food vendor booths must be staffed on Saturday and Sunday. The FLBC also stipulated that City staff would need to monitor the vendor booths' staffing and report back to the FLBC on the attendance of the participants. Vendors were notified of the Guidelines prior to finalizing their Fiesta La Ballona Booth Agreement.
DISCUSSION
As requested by the FLBC, City staff took hourly attendance of each booth at Fiesta La Ballona in 2022. Attachment 1 shows the attendance record for each booth. The vendors that did not follow the Attendance Guidelines set by the Fiesta La Ballona Committee are:
