RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends the Cultural Affairs Commission consider the information provided and ask questions and provide comments as appropriate.

BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION

At the September 12, 2022, the City Council considered an agenda item (attached) pertaining to the reorganization of the Community Development Department, the City Manager’s Office and the Human Resources Department that also affected Cultural Affairs.  The City Council passed a motion adopting a resolution approving the classification and salary plan as outlined in the report and approving the associated budget amendment.

Subsequent to the City Council meeting, Chair Fleischer requested a presentation of the organizational changes as they would affect Cultural Affairs to allow the CAC an opportunity to discuss and ask questions collectively as a body.

Assistant City Manager Jesse Mays will be presenting this item to the Commission.
