RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends that the Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS) Commission schedule a 2022 PRCS Commission Tour of Culver City Parks and Facilities.


BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION

On June 7, 2022, the Commission requested that a discussion regarding scheduling a 2022 Tour of Culver City Parks and Facilities (Parks Tour) be added to the August 2, 2022 meeting agenda. After consideration, staff is recommending that the Commission select five of the parks or facilities listed below for the 2022 Parks Tour.

1. Blair Hills Park
2. Blanco Park
3. Carlson Park
4. Coombs Parkette
5. Culver City Park
6. Culver West Alexander Park
7. El Marino Park
8. Fox Hills Park and Fox Hills Parkette
9. Lindberg Park
10. Syd Kronenthal Park
11. Tellefson Park
12. Veterans Memorial Park and the facilities therein, including the Veterans Memorial Building, the Plunge and the Teen Center
13. Veterans Memorial Complex, including the Veterans Memorial Building, Teen Center and Senior Center

The length of the Parks Tour will be determined by which parks the Commission wishes to visit, their proximity to each other, and the estimated travel time between them. A start time of 9:00 AM is recommended but this can be adjusted based on the avai...
