RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council consider and, if desired, adopt a Resolution standing with Ukraine and condemning the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
At the March 7, 2022 City Council Meeting, the City Council approved the illumination of the Veterans Memorial Building Tower in blue and yellow as a show of support for Ukraine during the Russian invasion. The City Council also approved placing a Resolution on the City Council Agenda, supporting Ukraine during the Russian invasion.
A proposed Resolution is attached to the staff report for the City Council’s consideration.
FISCAL ANALYSIS
There is no fiscal impact associated with the adoption of the Resolution.
