RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Equity and Human Relations Advisory Committee (EHRAC): (1) discuss and share comments on the Transgender Day of Remembrance Commemoration held on November 20, 2021; and (2) provide direction to staff if deemed appropriate.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
On November 20, 2021, the EHRAC held a Transgender Day of Remembrance virtual event to commemorate transgender lives that were lost during the past year. The EHRAC members achieved consensus during the October 26, 2021 regular meeting for this item to be placed on the January 25, 2022 regular meeting agenda to discuss the event, its impact, and community participation.
