RECOMMENDATION

 

Staff recommends the City Council approve an executive employment agreement with Fire Chief Kenneth Powell.

 

 

BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION

 

As authorized by and in consultation with City Council in closed session on December 13, 2021, a proposed Executive Employment Agreement (“Agreement”) has been negotiated with Chief Powell.  A copy of the proposed Agreement is included as Attachment 1 to this report. 

 

 

FISCAL ANALYSIS

 

Fiscal impact is within the parameters established by City Council. There are adequate appropriations in the adopted budget to cover the costs of this employment agreement.

That the City Council:

 

1.                     Approve an Executive Employment Agreement with Fire Chief Kenneth Powell; and
