RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council (1) adopt a Resolution authorizing the City to receive state funding of $3.41 Million through the Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) for an Emergency Shelter and Transitional Housing Project and identifying the City Manager as the authorized signatory on behalf of the City for the receipt of such funds; and (2) approve a Budget Amendment to record the revenue of $3.41 Million and appropriation of $3.41 Million in FY 2021/2022 (requires a four-fifths vote).
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
California State Senator Sydney K. Kamlager of Thirtieth Senate District requested the Senate Budget Committee and Budget Subcommittee No. 5 provide $3,410,000 for an Emergency Shelter and Transitional Housing Project in Culver City.
