RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends that the Equity and Human Relations Advisory Committee (EHRAC) (1) receive the report from the Transgender Day of Remembrance Ad Hoc Subcommittee; (2) Discuss and consider approval of the report's recommendations and determine next steps, and (3) provide direction to staff if deemed appropriate.


BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION

During the fiscal year of 2021/2022, the Equity and Human Relations Advisory Committee voted to hold various community events as part of their work plan. One of these events is participation in the worldwide observation of the Transgender Day of Remembrance (TGDOR) on November 20, 2021. During the August 24, 2021 regular meeting, the Committee achieved consensus to agendize an action item to receive and discuss the Transgender Day of Remembrance Ad Hoc Subcommittee's event program and details.
