RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council adopt a resolution granting an alcohol use permit to the Culver City Arts District to conduct a Beer Garden on private property and public right-of-way during the 2021 Artwalk and Roll event on October 9, 2021.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
The Culver City Arts District Business Improvement District (CCAD BID) was approved in 2016 to promote area businesses, beautify public areas and market the district through special events. The CCAD BID Work Program is managed by the Culver City Arts District (CCAD), a 501(c)(6) non-profit organization, in accordance with the Management Agreement between the City and the CCAD.
Since 2018, the CCAD has produced the Artwalk and Roll event that includes free self-guided tours of art galleries, beer gardens, musical performances, and a mobility test track. Similar to previous events, the CCAD requests permission to include two beer gardens for the 2021 Artwalk and Roll to be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021.
