BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
The Bicycle and Pedestrian Action Plan (BPAP) was approved by City Council on June 8, 2020. The BPAP posted on the City's website remains titled "Draft." In the process of producing a "Final" version of the BPAP, staff reviewed the report again and applied minor formatting edits. During this editorial process, staff discovered that the term "equity" is repeatedly referenced in the document without presenting equity goals. Consequently, revisions to BPAP Chapter 5 titled "Goal 5" have been developed.
Members of the City's Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Committee, the Walk n Roller School Safety Coordinator, and representatives of community groups, including Bike Culver City and Women on Bikes, have all contributed to developing the BPAP Chapter 5 revisions.
Depending on the Subcommittee's recommendation, BPAP Chapter 5: Goal 5 is tentatively calendared for City Council consideration at the August 23, 2021 meeting.
