RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council appoint a member to the General Plan Advisory Committee (GPAC).
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
Jeanne Min resigned from the GPAC on May 20, 2021and Andrew Weissman resigned from the GPAC on June 7, 2021. Former Member Min was appointed by Former Council Member Jim Clarke and Former Member Weissman was appointed by Former Council Member Jeff Cooper. Based on direction received at the March 3, 2021 City Council meeting regarding future vacancies, Council Member Vera recommended, and City Council approved the appointment of David Voncannon at the June 13, 2021 meeting. At that meeting City Council directed staff to bring back an item to discuss a consensus appointment to fill the last seat.
At this meeting, City Council Members will make recommendations and may choose to appoint one new Member for the four remaining GPAC meetings.
FISCAL ANALYSIS
There is no fiscal impact associated with making an appointment to the GPAC.

MOTION
That the City Council:
1. Appoint _____________ to the General Plan Advisory Committee (GPAC) to serve until the City Council discharges or disbands the GPAC or until the member resigns or is removed; OR
2. Provide alternate direction to the City Clerk as deemed appropriate.
