RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Equity & Human Relations Advisory Committee (EHRAC) receive report from Partnership, Education and Public Events Ad Hoc Subcommittee on implementation of work plan tasks; (2) discuss report’s recommendations and determine next steps on implementing work plan; and (3) provide direction to staff if deemed appropriate.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
At the January 26, 2021 meeting, the EHRAC members created and appointed the following members to the Partnership, Education and Public Events Ad Hoc Subcommittee: Members Bano, Moammar, Grimes and Vice Chair Valverde. As an alternative, Member Dennis, who was not present, was appointed, and Member Moammar agreed to step aside so Member Dennis could participate.
This ad hoc subcommittee was tasked to brainstorm programs and activities that the EHRAC could plan and implement and to report back their recommendations at the February 23, 2021 meeting.
Attached is the Partnership, Education and Public Events Ad Hoc Subcommittee’s report setting forth eight (8) proposed events. As discussed and approved in the January regular open meeting, and confirmed in the report, Member Moammar is no longer part of this ad hoc subcommittee and instead Member Dennis is the 4th subcommittee member.
