RECOMMENDATION

Staff requests the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) review the current Fiscal Year 2019/2020 update and draft proposed Fiscal Year 2020/2021 Work Plan from the Public Works (PW) Department and provide feedback as appropriate.

BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION

As part of the City budget process, presentations of current and future work plans will be made by each department prior to the development of the City Manager's Proposed Budget for Fiscal Year 2020/2021. Each department will make a brief presentation of their current Fiscal Year 2019/2020 Work Plans and their status, as well as proposed Work Plans for the coming Fiscal Year 2020/2021 to the City Council. The City Council will have the opportunity to take any public input, ask questions and provide suggestions or direction. This input will allow the City Manager and department heads the opportunity to address such suggestions or direction during the budget preparation period. The PW Department is anticipated to present their Work Plans to City Council in early March 2020.

The City Department Work Plans review process provides Commissions, Boards, and Committees (CBC), in an advisory role to the City Council, the opportunity to review and comment on the portion of the Work Plan that is pertinent to their area of interest.
