RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends the Cultural Affairs Commission (CAC) receive updates from staff on the FY 2018-19 Cultural Affairs work plan, an overview of the proposed FY 2019-20 Cultural Affairs work plan priorities, and provide comments and/or make a recommendation to the Administrative Services Director and the City Manager, as appropriate.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
As was the case in prior years, each of the City's Commissions, Committees and Boards have an opportunity to provide input related to the budget and work plan for FY 2019-20 before the City Manager presents his proposed budget to the City Council on Monday, May 13, 2019. The City Council is tentatively scheduled to receive individual department presentations on next year's proposed budget and work plan on May 20 & 21 and, if needed, June 3, 2019. The FY 2019-20 budget is scheduled for adoption on June 24, 2019. CAC members are welcome to attend any of these meetings.
Staff will provide a summary update on the FY 2018-19 Cultural Affairs work plan followed by an overview of the FY 2019-20 Cultural Affairs work plan priorities.
