RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends the City Council adopt an Ordinance adding new Subchapter 15.02.1300, et seq., “Hillside Grading Requirements and Permitting” to Chapter 15.02, Buildings, Structures and Equipment, of the Culver City Municipal Code (CCMC) (Attachment 1).

BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION

At the City Council meeting of February 4, 2019, the City Council unanimously introduced the proposed Ordinance by a vote of 4-0.  Prior to its introduction, the City Council added a new Section 2 to the Ordinance setting forth the environmental finding, pursuant to the California Environmental Quality (CEQA), which had been inadvertently omitted.

The proposed Ordinance, with the CEQA finding included, is brought back for adoption by the City Council.
