RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends the City Council approve a purchase order with Los Angeles Truck Centers, LLC. for the purchase and delivery of one (1) new and unused refrigerated truck in an amount not-to-exceed $164,450.00, including all taxes and fees.


BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION

On November 15, 2018, the City published a Notice Inviting Bids to furnish and deliver one new and unused refrigerated truck to be used by the Culver City Public Works Department as part of a Food Recovery Program. The bid was posted on the City's website, distributed to various vendor network mailing lists, and advertised in the Culver City News. One bid was received and publicly opened on December 13, 2018. Los Angeles Truck Centers was the sole bidder with a total bid of $164,450.00 inclusive of all taxes and fees.

The bid was evaluated based on the total base bid price and on the Bidder's ability to provide equipment that meets a satisfactory level of performance in accordance with the City's requirements.
