RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council adopt a resolution approving an encroachment agreement with AT&T for use of the public right-of-way to install 1,051 feet of fiber optic cable starting from Poinsettia Court, continuing east along Ince Boulevard and Terminating 170 feet west of Lucerne Avenue.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
AT&T is proposing to install a new fiber optic pathway to service the expansion of their fiber optic network.
The work involves installing new aerial fiber optic line. The proposed route begins at an existing utility pole located at the northeast corner of Ince Boulevard and Poinsettia Court. The fiber optic line will then run easterly along Ince Boulevard, 1,051 feet across existing utility poles and terminating at a utility pole approximately 170 west of Lucerne Avenue.
The total distance of the new installation in the public right-of-way is 1,051 linear feet. All the work will be installed aerially on existing utility poles.
