RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends committee to discuss the possibility of getting an bicycle trip planning smart phone application for the City.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
Bicycle network connectivity, is one of the key parameters of increasing bicycle ridership in any region. Currently Culver City does not have any service that shows the existing bicycle routes, new bicycle routes, destinations and events, bicycle amenities and allows for trip planning using this information. A smart phone application with trip planning abilities is one of the solutions to providing this service.
