RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends the City Council adopt an Ordinance amending Culver City Municipal Code Chapter 11.17 "Commercial Cannabis Businesses" and Section 11.01.075 "Unlawful Businesses Prohibited" of Chapter 11.01.


BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION

On March 12, 2018, City Council considered an ordinance amending the Commercial Cannabis Ordinance to add additional distancing requirements for storefront retail businesses, among other changes. Additional background and information regarding the Ordinance is available in the March 12, 2018 27 staff report. After considering all information presented, including the staff report and public input, the City Council introduced the Ordinance by a vote of 5-0. The Ordinance is presented tonight for adoption. The Ordinance becomes effective 30 days after adoption.


FISCAL ANALYSIS

There is no fiscal impact associated with this item. Permitting and regulatory activities will be cost recoverable through application and permit fees established through City Council Resolution.
