RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission (PRCSC) host Community Conversations Topic #7 - "Growing Up Intercultural in Culver City: A Student-Based Conversation on Race and Culture" and participate in the discussion as deemed appropriate.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
On July 7, 2015, the PRCSC first formed the Community Conversations - Topic #7 Ad Hoc Subcommittee. On August 2, 2016, the current Ad Hoc Subcommittee members, Commissioner Garland and Commissioner Rickards were appointed by the PRCSC. On January 10, 2017, the PRCSC finalized the title for Community Conversations Topic #7 as "Growing Up Intercultural in Culver City: A Student-Based Conversation on Race and Culture." Over the past several months, the members of the Ad Hoc Subcommittee have been planning and organizing this event.
