RECOMMENDATION

 

Staff recommends that the Cultural Affairs Foundation Board (Board): 1) Dissolve the following Ad Hoc 2015-2016 Subcommittees: Culver City Chamber of Commerce, Public Relations and Fundraising; 2) Create Ad Hoc 2016-2017 Subcommittees; and, 3) Assign Board Members to Subcommittees for Fiscal Year 2016-2017.

 

 

BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION

 

The Cultural Affairs Foundation Board currently has currently three (3) ad hoc subcommittees whose work concluded at the end of Fiscal Year 2015-2016:

 

                     Culver City Chamber of Commerce

                     Public Relations

                     Fundraising

 

Proposed Action No. 1 - Dissolution of 2015-2016 Ad Hoc Subcommittees.

The existing subcommittees have concluded their work as it specifically relates to the prior fiscal year.

 

Proposed Action No. 2 - Creation of Ad Hoc subcommittees for Fiscal Year 2016-2017.

 

It is recommended that the following subcommittees be created for the current fiscal year:

 

Ad Hoc

 

                     2016-2017 Culver City Chamber of Commerce

                     2016-2017 Public Relations

                     2016-2017 Fundraising

 

Proposed Action No. 3 - Appointments to Subcommittees

 

Should the Foundation Board so desire, it may appoint new Board members to its 2016-2017 ad hoc subcommittees.  It is recommended that at least two Board members be appointed to each subcommittee.

 

 

FISCAL ANALYSIS:

 

The fiscal impact of this item is unknown and varied based on the use of City staff time to support subcommittee activities.

1.                     Create the Ad Hoc 2016-2017 Culver City Chamber of Commerce Subcommittee, the Ad Hoc 2016-2017 Public Relations Subcommittee, and the Ad Hoc 2016-2017 Fundraising Subcommittee; and,

 

2.                     Make subcommittee assignments for Fiscal Year 2016-2017 as follows:
