RECOMMENDATION

 

Staff recommends the City Council conduct the August 29, 2016 City Council Strategic Planning Retreat, and provide direction to the City Manager as deemed appropriate.

 

 

BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION

 

On May 23, 2016, Mayor Jim Clarke and Council Member Thomas Small were appointed to the City Council Strategic Planning Retreat Subcommittee.  On July 5, 2016, the City released a Request for Proposals for a facilitator to help conduct the Strategic Planning Retreat.  Subsequently, the Subcommittee selected the Center for Non Profit Management (CNM) to facilitate the Retreat. 

 

 

FISCAL ANALYSIS

 

There is no fiscal impact to conduct the retreat.  However, it is possible that any new future programs and projects proposed as a result of the Retreat will have a fiscal impact.
