RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council adopt a resolution authorizing the execution of an agreement with the Los Angeles County Department of Community and Senior Services, and the acceptance of grant funds in the amount of $206,942 per fiscal year, for the Elderly Nutrition Program (ENP) Grant for Fiscal Year 2016/2017 through Fiscal Year 2019/2020.
BACKGROUND
July 1, 2016 will mark the City's 41st Annual re-authorization of the Elderly Nutrition Program (ENP) grant with the Los Angeles County Department of Community and Senior Services (LACCSS) Area Agency on Aging (AAA) using the Older Americans Act Title 42 (OAA) funds. Funds allow Culver City Senior Nutrition Program to operate the congregate and home delivered meal programs. The LACCSS ENP grant provides limited funding to 19 non-profit organizations and municipalities in Los Angeles County to manage over 100 nutrition sites that provide well-balanced nutritional meals that meet USDA guidelines.
