RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Equity and Human Relations Advisory Committee (EHRAC) (1) receive a report from the Equity and Human Relations Awards Ad Hoc Subcommittee; and (2) if so desired, approve the Equity and Human Relations Awards Ad Hoc Subcommittee report's recommendations; and (3) determine next steps as deemed appropriate; and (4) provide feedback and/or recommendations to staff as deemed necessary.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
In 2021, the Culver City Equity and Human Relations Advisory Committee created a Community Contributions Award to honor outstanding individuals and businesses for their contributions to equity and human relations in Culver City. For the last three years, the awards recipients have been individuals, nonprofits, and businesses who have embodied inclusiveness, altruism, and giving through volunteerism and public service to make Culver City a better place for all people to live.
