This amount includes estimated shipping and handling costs ($500) sales tax ($5 119.08) and a 10% contingency for unexpected needs that may arise. BACKGROUND & DISCUSSION: On September 23 2013 the City Council authorized the purchase of six (6) new 40 New Flyer Xcelsior buses. Four of these new buses will replace four 2003 30 foot buses currently in service. All 52 buses comprising the Culver CityBus fleet are equipped with advanced technologies designed to address safety and accurate data transfer requirements.
