Fulwood (01/16/08) RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the City Council discuss the topic of regional traffic and a proposal to form a Regional Traffic Working Group involving participation by the City of Culver City the City of Los Angeles and the County of Los Angeles. BACKGROUND: Culver City has been experiencing increased traffic impacts as a result of new development both within Culver City s corporate limits and in areas surrounding Culver City in the City of Los Angeles and the County of Los Angeles. Though projects in Culver City have contributed to some of the problems of traffic congestion related to new development by far the biggest contributor to increased traffic results from major new developments in both the City of Los Angeles and the County of Los Angeles.
