BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION: During this year the Culver City Police Department entered into an agreement with the Environmental Protection Agency s (EPA) California Environmental Protection Task Force. The Culver City Police Department has assigned reserve officers on a limited basis to assist this task force in working to investigate and monitor activities associated with protection of the environmental and wildlife areas of Los Angeles County. This task force has been successful in prosecuting a number of entities that have violated federal laws related to EPA standards.
