BACKGROUND: The Westside Cities Solid Waste Task Force comprised of the Cities of Culver City West Hollywood and Beverly Hills has participated in a Regional Used Oil Recycling Block Grant for the past twelve years. The Used Oil Recycling Program was established to educate the public about the dangers of illegally dumping used motor oil into the environment and to give the Do It Yourselfer (DIY) a convenient place to dispose of their used motor oil and filter.
