RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends the City Council authorize the release of a request for proposals (RFP) for high-mast lighting retrofit solutions at various Culver City parks.


BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION

The PRCS Department is seeking to release an RFP for qualified vendors to provide a high-mast lighting retrofit solution through the City's park system to enhance visibility, improve energy efficiency, and ensure safety. This project will focus on upgrading lighting at the sports courts throughout the park system including lighting for baseball/softball fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, volleyball courts, and Culver City's Plunge.

The project scope includes the following:
* LED Lighting fixture retrofit.
* Lighting system design and engineering.
* Installation and construction services.
* Project management and coordination.
* Warranty and maintenance support.

The general items of work consist of the removal of the existing high mast lighting poles (where necessary) and equipment, installation of new poles (where necessary), LED high-mast lighting, conduit, wiring, installation and all other apparent facilities in connection to the lighting upgrades found in the plans for the specified project.
