RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council:
1. Accept the work performed by Malibu Pacific Tennis Courts, Inc. (Malibu Pacific) for the construction of the Citywide Bicycle Parking Project, PF-001; and,
2. Authorize filing a Notice of Completion; and,
3. Authorize the release of the retention funds in the amount of $2,309.15 after the expiration of the 35-day lien period.
BACKGROUND / DISCUSSION
On April 21, 2014, the City Council awarded a construction contract to Malibu Pacific to complete the necessary work for the Citywide Bicycle Parking Project funded by the California Department of Transportation's Bicycle Transportation Account (BTA) grant program.
The project scope of work consisted of the purchase and installation of up to 200 U-shaped bicycle racks at suitable locations City-wide and two bicycle repair stations.
