RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends the General Plan Advisory Committee (GPAC) 1) review community engagement to date; and 2) draft visioning themes and guiding principles, identify General Plan outcomes, and participate in an idea mapping exercise.


DISCUSSION

The meeting will start with a brief "icebreaker" activity.

The Committee will receive a presentation on community engagement conducted to date and upcoming engagement events. The presentation will highlight feedback received at pop-up events and the February 8 Community Visioning Festival.

The Committee will be led in an exercise and break out into small groups to draft high-level visioning themes and related guiding principles. Members will report out after the exercise to inform a discussion. Discussion questions include:
* What are the key, high-level visioning themes from the community engagement to date? What is missing that needs to be addressed?
* What are the guiding principles that support each theme?

Again, in small groups, Members will use the visioning themes and guiding principles as a guide to identify key General Plan outcomes and discuss indicators to track progress. Discussion questions include:
