Nachbar (02/17/15) Phone Number: (310) 253 5633 General Fund: Yes No X Date: ________________ City of Culver City California Agenda Item Report RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the City Council approve a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City of Culver City (City) and the Culver City Unified School District (CCUSD) to install and maintain a marked crosswalk at the intersection of Elenda Street and Garfield Avenue. BACKGROUND: Public Works Department staff has been in discussion with CCUSD staff to address the large numbers of students crossing on Elenda Street in front of Culver City High School. Garfield Avenue and Franklin Avenue intersections on Elenda Street do not have any crosswalks or stop signs. DISCUSSION: As a result of the discussions staff has developed a plan to install a yield controlled pedestrian crosswalk on Elenda Street at Garfield Avenue.
