A 4/5ths affirmative vote is required to amend the budget. BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION: The City of Culver City has been awarded grant funding from the United States Department of Homeland Security through the Office of Domestic Preparedness. The grant funds flow through the City of Los Angeles. The grant is administered by the City of Los Angeles as a Core City for use in the Los Angeles urban area and distributed to the individual municipalities within the County of Los Angeles. This grant along with State Homeland Security Grant Program funds will provide for the complete Interagency Communications Interoperability System (ICIS) upgrade to the City s radio system.
