BACKGROUND: After hearing a report from the Human Relations Subcommitteeat the November 4 2010 meeting the members of the PRCS Commission reached consensuson the importance of taking a proactive stance in imparting information and education to the public on human relations related issues. Subsequently the Commission held two very successful presentations on topicsof major relevance to the community.At the February 1 2011 PRCS Commission meeting a presentation on bullying entitled Words Matter was given by Dr. Earl Ofari Hutchinson and Dr. Sikivu Hutchinson. On June 7 2011the Commission hosted ELDER ABUSE: How It Affects You Your Family and Your Neighbors by Ernie Powell Senior Manager of Advocacy / AARP California at the Culver City Senior Center.
