Entering into a professional services agreement with Peter Erdelyi & Associates for a structural peer review for the Symantec Project/ 800 Corporate Pointe. BACKGROUND: The Symantec project; 550 000 s.f. offices and 600 000 s.f. parking garages applied for a construction permit September 29th 2005. The Building Safety Plan Check Engineer is an experienced engineer but Staff felt for a project of this size it would be prudent to seek an independent structural engineering review. DISCUSSION: On September 13th 2005 Building Safety mailed out an RFP to three selected structural engineering firms seeking the services of a qualified structural engineering firm to perform a structural engineering peer review of the structural plans and specifications of the Symantec Project.
