Nachbar (02/02/11) RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the City Council approve the final plans and specifications and authorize advertising for bids for the Residential Overlay Project P 863 P 903. BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION: Per the pavement management system and visual observation several streets are in need of repairs and have been selected to be re paved with new asphalt. The scope of work consists of replacing two inches of asphalt concrete with new rubberized asphalt concrete. Additionally curb and gutter will be replaced where necessary. The following streets are scheduled for resurfacing: 1. Farragut Drive: Jasmine Avenue to 100 feet west of Motor Avenue 2. Vinton Avenue: Farragut Drive to Braddock Drive 3. Ocean Drive: Cota Street to Rhoda Way 4. Piggot Drive: Sepulveda Boulevard to Bentley Avenue 5. Matteson Avenue: Bentley Avenue to east cul de sac 6.
