RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends the City Council (1) approve an amendment to the Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Culver City and the Culver City Arts District (CCAD) to extend the term from 2024 to 2026; (2) allocate $70,0000 for lighting enhancements in the public right-of-way pursuant to the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) Budget; and (3) approve a license agreement for installation and maintenance of decorative lighting.


BACKGROUND

On November 14, 2022, the City Council approved a Memorandum of Understanding with the CCAD to implement certain capital improvement projects as outlined in the 2023 CCAD Work Plan and Fiscal Year 2022-2023 CIP Project#PF037 (CCAD BID Improvement). The City Council allocated $100,000 for enhanced corridor/street maintenance, development of gateway design, and installation of a decorative lighting pilot project.
